Create a Gift Registry or Shopping List

Creating a gift registry or shopping list on Green Living is easy as easy as 1-2-3.

Create an account - You'll need to create an account with us in order to setup a gift registry. Give us a little info about yourself (don't worry, we will not sell or share your information with anyone outside our company), create a username and password, and then you'll be all set.

Log into the site - Once you have setup an account, just login and you'll be taken to your account page where you can setup up to 10 different lists

Create a Registry - Click on the link to Create a new list. Give the list a name so you can keep track of it, pick an event type from the drop-down list and enter the date of the event. Finally, you can choose whether to make the list public (searchable from this page) or private (email a link to your friends and family so they can access the list directly) then click save. That's it! Now comes the fun part, just start shopping on the site and when you find items you want to add, just add the quantity and click on the "add to list" link.

Share your Gift Registry or Shopping List

When you've added all your items to the registry, you can send your friends and family a link to the list via email.

Public Gift Registry - If you selected "Public" when you created the registry, simply compose your message, cut and paste a link to this page - http://www.green-living.com/list-search.aspx , add your email addresses and send the message. Hint: Make sure to tell them to use your last name in the search box below to find your registry. Everyone on the list will be able to click on the link in the message and then type your last name to see the items you selected and see which items you still need.

Private Gift Registry - If you selected "Private" when you created the registry, you'll need to log into the site and click on the "Manage your Shopping Lists" link. Then, click on the "Email to a Friend" link. A new window will pop-up and allow you to compose the email message. Simply add you email addresses, subject, message, enter the code shown on the message and click submit. We'll send the message to all of your recipients and it will include a link they can click on to go to your registry directly. From there, they can see which items you've selected and which ones you still need.
