The grass catcher is a woven nylon mesh on a rigid metal tube frame. The catcher fits both Brill and Sunlawn models and hooks onto the ears on the rear of the mower and is supported by a strap from the handle. There is a handle on the top of the catcher for carrying contents to compost pile.
When mowing with a Brill push mower we recommend either leaving the clippings on the lawn or collecting them for a backyard compost pile. Based on our sales, we estimate that 25% of Brill users decide to use a catcher and collect their clippings. Although a push mower doesn't create the vacuum like a power mower, the reel does a good job of slinging the clippings back and from our experience, we'd guess that 80% of the clippings are caught.
