Use only Forbo adhesives for the installation of Marmoleum.
Forbo Flooring L910 Adhesive is a solvent-free SBR polymer acrylic adhesive used to adhere Marmoleum on all grade levels of concrete and approved suspended wood floors.
Application
It is essential that all subfloors be rigid, smooth, flat, level, permanently dry, clean and free of all foreign material such as grease, oils, solvents, curing and hardening compounds, sealers, asphalt, and old adhesive residue.
Ensure that calcium chloride moisture tests have been conducted and the results do not exceed 5 lbs per 1000 square feet in 24 hrs. Conduct a pH test of all concrete subfloors to verify that surface is no greater than 10. Ensure that the permanent HVAC system is installed, commissioned, and set to a minimum of 68 deg F for a minimum of 72 hrs prior to, during, and after installation. Flooring material must be climatized to the installation area for a minimum of 24 hrs prior to installation.
Apply adhesive to the subfloor with a 1/16" x 1/16" x 1/16" square notch trowel. Roll the floor covering properly with a minimum 100 pound roller directly after the material is laid into the adhesive (this is essential for a successful installation). Repeat rolling each day for 5 days will give even greater assurance for a successful installation.
Read the Marmoleum Installation Instructions for detailed guidance.
