This stylish countertop compost crock is the perfect canister to collect and store kitchen scraps before they go into your compost bin. The lid closes with an air-tight white rubber gasket which keeps all odors in. The crock is available in blue and green.
The crock is dishwasher safe (the rubber gasket is removable) or they are very easy to wash and dry by hand.
Made in the USA by the Homer Laughlin China Company, a company known for making durable ceramics from the fine white clay found in areas of the Ohio River Valley. Their china is the choice of many American diners and restaurants because it's not prone to chipping and maintains it's gloss and color through years of use. The crock is fired with a non-porous vitrified glaze, producing a smooth surface that cleans easily and doesn't hold odors.
